Kite flying at Tai Au Mun

Saturday afternoon we went to Tai Au Mun kite flying site.

To be honest it was really windy (what with being on the coast and a very strong typhoon in the region) but that did not deter the Hong Kong families from flying kites!

Even if that meant spending most of their time untangling said kite from trees, trying to stop it from violently slamming into the floor – or on to other people’s faces as we witnessed.

Jeff asked me if I wanted a kite but I said it would be best to fly one when there is less wind because I didn’t want to end up in court for poaching someone’s eye with the uncontrollable kite. People watching was great fun though, particularly when their kite flying experience went wrong!

Amazing views as always!
